Creature · ICARUS 3.0.26 · Week 248
Revenants represent the final stage of human-afflicted radiation-exotic toxicity-an escalation far beyond Spectres and Wraiths. Barely recognizable as once-human, these creatures have grown massive under prolonged exposure to radioactive exotic concentrations. Their elongated limbs, hardened growths, and erratic movement patterns make them unpredictable and extremely dangerous. Revenants exhibit heightened aggression and resilience, capable of withstanding significant damage while delivering devastating melee attacks with irradiated claws.
Like Spectres and Wraiths, Revenants originate from human bodies saturated with exotic particulate-but only in areas where radiation amplifies exotic reactivity to catastrophic levels. Instead of cellular failure, the combination forces continuous mutation. Most afflicted die long before reaching this stage, but a rare few survive long enough for the process to accelerate unchecked. Revenants are found exclusively in the most unstable radioactive zones, drawn to exotic concentrations they can no longer live without.
"Whatever a Revenant used to be, it's long gone. At that point the radiation isn't killing them, it's feeding them."
This creature is not listed in any spawn zone in the shipped tables — it is placed by a mission, a boss encounter or a tame, rather than by the world spawner. Its biome and maps above come from the bestiary itself.
