They have large, furry feet that provide traction on icy surfaces, and long, floppy ears that help regulate their body temperature. They are very vulnerable to predators, and easily startled.
These are social animals that live in groups called herds, spending much of their time foraging for food in the snow. They are herbivores and feed on a variety of plants.
