The Raptor is a swift, bipedal predator found across the desert and geothermal biomes. Built for speed and endurance, it uses powerful legs and curved talons to bring down prey with precision strikes. Despite its size, it moves with surprising agility, making it one of the deadliest hunters on Icarus.
Originally bred as a terraforming control species to manage invasive herbivores, the Raptor adapted rapidly to the planet's extremes. Desert variants developed lighter hides and heat-resistant scales, while geothermal strains evolved thicker skin and increased aggression. Prospectors have since discovered ways to tame and ride them-at considerable risk.
